Last September 26th was held the VII edition of Santarosa Pastry Cup. The winner of the competition was the revisited sfogliatella sciantosa of Galileo Reposo

If the passion for pastry, the love for tradition and the beauty of a unique landscape such as the Amalfi Coast can materialize in an event, this is undoubtedly the Santarosa Pastry Up.

Last September 26th we experienced a magical day, in which Santarosa in its most diverse interpretations was the undisputed protagonist. There where it was born, in Conca dei Marini, we have been celebrating it for seven years now, never getting tired of rediscovering it, reinventing it and falling in love with the queen of sfogliatelle every time.

Capturing the jury composed of the elite of international pastry in this seventh edition was the reinterpretation of the decomposed sfogliatella by the Milanese master Galileo Reposo, who let himself be guided by the theme "Santarosa...sciantosa", proposing a cake in whose flavors and compositions relive the Paris of the Belle Epoche and the magic of the cafés chantantant in Naples at the end of the 19th century. Suggestions that have been able to give us with creativity all the other pastry chefs finalists: Giacomo Besuschio (Pasticceria Besuschio, Abbiategrasso - MI), Vincenzo Faiella (Pasticceria Generoso, Ercolano - NA), Salvatore Gabbiano (Pasticceria Gabbiano, Pompei - NA) and Carmen Vecchione (Dolciarte, Avellino).

The magic of the Santarosa Pastry Cup also passed through Vincenzo Faiella's creation, which received the "Popular Jury" award, and Giuseppe Amato's "Ama la sfogliatella" creation, which received the "Pastry Chef" category award. The Santarosa Pastry Cup was also an opportunity to celebrate those people whose work has made this event special over time: together with Sal De Riso, we presented a special "Excellence of the Territory" award to Maestro Alfonso Pepe and an award to Giuseppe Manilia for winning 4 editions of the Santarosa Pastry Cup.

There are so many people to thank that it is impossible to name them all. However, we cannot help but embrace Tiziana Carbone and Antonio Vuolo, who together with us have embarked on this crazy and magnificent adventure.

The curtain falls on this seventh edition, but we are already ready to plan for the future, aware that the immense richness of our territory will never cease to surprise and inspire us with new taste creations, with our feet firmly planted in tradition.
