It was an iconic moment experienced last May 27 by Pasticceria Pansa, which on the sidelines of the concluding institutional meeting on May 25 and 26 at the Vatican, prepared a rich buffet of typical Amalfi Coast sweets to offer to Pope Francis and the participants.
A unique emotion that marks another exceptional piece of the nearly 200-year history of our pastry shop, which we celebrated with the publication of the book “A Sweet History since1830,” which Andrea and Nicola were able to deliver directly into the hands of the Holy Father.
Also tasting Pansa's pastries were Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, GMB24 coordinator Father Enzo Fortunato, deputy Aldo Cagnoli, executive directors Luigi Mansi and Donato Mosella, Rome Prefect Lamberto Giannini, and artists who performed on World Children's Day such as Renato Zero, Lino Banfi and Carlo Conti.
It was a historic day, further recognition of the great work done over these decades, which will remain etched in the annals and hearts of the Pansa family and the entire Amalfi Coast.
